Flickr has announced the latest change in a blog post, saying its users have been requesting a new login method since the acquisition. Thanks to SmugMug's acquisition of Flickr early last year, users of the popular photo and video sharing platform are now free from the chains of its Yahoo ID-tied login system. Users might have been a little pleased three years later when Yahoo, which owned Flickr at the time, allowed people to sign up for its services using their Facebook account, though this integration (along with Google's) was revoked in 2014.
